Week 1 to 4

1 millimeter
A few hundreds to thousands of cells have reached the uterus and will attach within a few days. Part of these cells will become the baby, part will be the placenta and the last part will become the thin layer of skin that holds the amniotic fluid.
On January 1 2002 I had my period, not that remarkable in itself, though it was the first time after I had Bram. This is quite normal since I had been breast feeding him until halfway of December. After this a few weeks follow about which I do not really have anything to tell.

Even though Erik and I had decided that we would try to arrange a brother or sister for Bram, I did not expect to get pregnant very quickly (I don't even know why I thought so) and I did not think about it often. I trusted that my body would decide for itself when it would be ready, even though I did like the thought of being pregnant again. Another reason for that the thought of pregnancy was more in the back of my mind is of course that Bram keeps me 'somewhat' busy. ;)

So came the end of January, Erik had been having the flu that month and when the day arrived that I expected to have my period again I also felt sick. I did not really feel the same as I was used to feel when this period was near, but I simply could not believe that that would be because I might be missing it already. The almost unexplicable tiredness that I experienced I thought was because of that I was getting the flu too.
