Bram had his recheck with his pediatrician
And his ears looked great again.

A house
Today we got the key to our new house. It was very neatly handed over to us and thus we want to concentrate on childproofing and minimum cleaning before we will move on Friday.
We started a list with all the things we need to attend to.
The weather is still hot and humid, so we decided to start taking advantage of our yard right-away, which Bram and Vera really enjoy. For us it means another project: not much has been done to/for it over the past couple of years.

Bram has his film debut
Here a report of Saturday morning august 27th. It was a fun morning, Bram had been picked during a spontaneous audition to join in in a shooting for a dvd with Elmo of Sesame Street. The dvd will be called "dirty diaper blues" and these shots will be used for the titlesong. The kids had to dance a lot in their diapers and t-shirts.
It was a big setup, for the kids basically a party where they were supposed to dance a lot and to play around some. Everything got filmed in the back yard of one of the producers who happens to live just around the corner of our street. We had a home match so to speak.
Bram has had a super time and took out every dance step he knows. He was filmed a lot, so I am so curious as of how often you will see him in the actual dvd. This will be released only in a couple months, so there's too much time to wait for it..
In the picture area you will find a few pictures. On several of them you'll see that the camera's are on Bram and also there is one of a close up being filmed. Not all pictures are completely in focus, which is part because I could not use a flash for that would have disturbed the shots.
It was a lot of fun and very special to get a chance like this.

Ear infection
Bram had fluids coming out of his left ear since Saturday. He seemed to be not bothered by this, so we hoped it was just regular wax that was loosened by his swimming. On Sunday he all of a sudden got a high fever and felt really very bad. We gave him something to sleep and that seemed to help, this morning his fever had gone. He still didn't feel good, he was unhappy and kept rubbing the ear that we had kept an eye on.
So we took him to the pediatrian and he turned out to have a big ear infection. Now he is on antibiotics again. In 2 weeks he'll have to be seen again for a recheck. (Aug 31st). This was his first ear infection after the operation in December, so we are still happy ;-)

Vera is wearing real panties
It's a fact, Vera is now in real underwear for a week. She hardly has any accidents. Only "nr2" is a bit scary for her as it appears, but she is really giving it her best. Of course now we get to see every potty where ever we go and every body gets to see her most beautiful underwear ;-)
She also is very independent, from putting the clothes down to washing her hands. She's proud as well, and so are we.

Guest book
It has not been possible to sign the guest book for a while. The problem should have been addressed now.

Moving
It is going to happen, early September we will move to the house we have bought on the other side of South Orange, the village we live in at the moment. We like living here and now we have our greencards, we thought it was time to make sure that Bram and Vera will have a garden to play in. This garden came with a house, as we tend to put it sometimes ;-)
