Sunday, 1/23/2005 Snow Last night we got about 12-15 inches of snow. It looked so beautiful before anyone had touched it! We enjoyed the snow today, Bram and Vera went outside with us to help dig out our car etc. This is the first year that they really enjoyed the snow, so it was really fun.

Friday, 1/21/2005 Stomach bug Well, the past few weeks have been a bit hectic. Things started around Jan 8th, with both Bram and Vera having runny stools all the time. This lasted a few days and Bram had to stay home from school the Monday and Tuesday after. He went back on Wednesday and Thursday, he was so happy about this. He fell ill again on Friday. He woke up sick and had a fever. After calling him out of school again, we got a call from the school nurse. One of his class mates had strep throat and even though he had no symptoms of this, she would feel better if we had him tested. At the doctor's it turned out that he did have the strep throat and he was given an antibiotic. On the 17th Erik was off (MLK day) and we had planned to "do something", but Bram seemed "off". At a certain moment he started throwing up and could not stop this. At he doctor's we learned that he had a severe reaction to the antibiotic he was taking and he had to be switched to another one, because it also seemed that the infection of his throat had moved up to his sinusses. Fortunately after this he perked up every day and on Thursday and Friday he could go to school again. In the end we all had the stomach complaints a few times and we now all seem to be better fortunately.
