Vacation

From August 30th till September 4th we went to Avon, on Hatteras Island. This is on the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

We had rented a house there and drove there with our car. It took us 12 hrs in total, 10 of which was driving. It was quite a drive, but Bram and Vera did very well, both ways.

The house was great, much bigger than home, had CA, several decks and a hot tub on one of those. It was decorated nicely and the living room was big. The 4 bedrooms were of a decent size.

Bram and Vera had the best time playing on the top deck, that had an ocean vieuw (only 60 yds away), with just landscape in between. So: the most wonderful vieuw.

We were also close to the beach access: just a few minutes with the car. It was the most relaxing vacation. We went to the beach very often and Bram and Vera loved playing in the sand and the water.

At night we would go into the hot tub, this was so nice. Bram and Vera loved it and had a big grin on their faces. As soon as we would turn off the bubbles, Vera would say: “more, bubbles”

We did a few field trips, to a light house, the NC state aquarium and to an island to the south, where we had to go by ferry.

All in all this was a great week, and we are sorry that it passed this fast.
