July

In July we visited a balloon festival, where they also had an airshow and a fair. Bram was crazy about the airplanes and the hot air balloons were a good 2nd. Vera seemed to love everything. Both she and Bram had their first ride on a merry go round here.

Both Bram and Vera have had colds for the best part of the month. It could be related to more exposure at school, but sometimes the green color on Bram did look quite scary. We'll wait and see what the rest of the summer will bring, hopefully the extra vaccination we got him early July will have a positive effect here.

Vera needed quite a bit of time to get used to the mornings without Bram (just like mama), but she now enjoys doing the things she likes to do and which Bram dislikes, like coloring and drawing.

The summer program is over

Yep, this went so fast. The first 6 weeks of Bram's school career have flewn by. He now has a vacation of 3 weeks before "the real deal" starts in September. Then he will go 5 days from 8:30 till 3.

The past few weeks Bram showed to get used to things very quickly, so fast that after 2,5 weeks he was ready to be challenged more. He now had to start learning to drink from an open cup, something that used to be fysically impossible for him untill that point. Now he is able to drink 4 sips with support/help from us a couple times a day.

Bram also shows nice cooperation with his tasks and he does not freak out any more when he is expected to be a bit more independent. In short: this period was perfect to get him somewhat used to what he'll be in for starting September.
