Bram's first week of school
That 1st week of school went by so fast. Tomorrow (Monday) he'll go for the 2nd week. His communication book had a very positive entry on last Friday. Bram had had a difficult time in the starting half hour of the day and after that he had participated nicely and happily in every activity. He seemed to understand the routine better and he had been smiling and clearly enjoying himself.
He also came home very happy from school, that was so great to see.
Not in the least because specifically on Thursday and Friday Vera and Wilma had missed him a lot now he's gone for such a big part of the day.

Bram's first school day
Today was Bram's official 1st day of school. He started the summer program at "Stepping Stones", the school he'll attend in September on a full time basis.
The summer program is to keep up with the skills and to get the therapy he needs.
Bram only turned 3 in June, so that's why he'll start now. This is a "quiet" way to get used to things. He will go 4 days per week, from 8:30 till 13:30. The school bus picks him up at 8am and returns him at 2pm.
This morning was quite an adventure for us of course, we drove behind the bus to check upon his arrival. This all turned out to go quite smoothly and we learned that everything went ok today. He felt a bit strange of course, he still needs to get used to the routine, but managed quite well. This makes us so proud.
When he came home, he was of course exhausted, but he was happy too, a very good sign in our eyes.
